Survey Camp (Half Day: $150 - Full Day: $250)
The format is 5 day day-camps. Instruction includes educational games and
activities designed to enhance teamwork, self-esteem and confidence, safety and
sport-specific skills. Kids will pair up and join kayak, windsurf, sail, or
canoe groups and get to do all the sports. Kids under 60 lbs will not go
windsurfing and can choose a different sport to do. Friday kids get a
Supreme-style Hawaiian BBQ! All camps meet at James Madison Park, in downtown
Madison.

SWS has indoor
facilities and camp will run on rainy days. We will play games, work on general
outdoor education skills, and get to know each other better. We also have a
TV for movies and another for a Wii
onsite.

Day 1
Morning
You will get assigned to your first sport which will be kayaking, canoeing,
sailing, or windsurfing. You will also go over safety rules and an overview of
the week ahead.

Day 1
Afternoon
First you will have lunch and rest a little. This is followed by Session One of
the Outdoor Education Curriculum. The topics include First Aid & Life Guarding,
ecology, local wildlife and insects, orienteering, knot tying, camping, and
wilderness survival. (More ephasis will be placed on topics that you campers
most enjoy.) Next you can go swimming, play around the park, or learn about the
different boats. Then we will take a group canoe or kayak trip and get more
instruction along the way. Snacks and beverages are provided after the trip. It
will be around 5pm, so we'll hang out playing games, fishing, or free paddle
close to the park while kids get picked up.

Morning
Now it's time to switch sports. Each camper will get to do all four sports by
the end of the week.

the Outdoor Education Curriculum. Next you can go swimming, play around the
park, or learn about the different boats. Then we will learn about sailing and
have a guided sailing session. Kids can go paddling with the sailors if they
want. Snacks and beverages are provided after the trip. It will be around 5pm,
so we'll hang out playing games, fishing, or free paddle close to the park while
kids get picked up.
